A Trove of Pain Management Resources

The Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) in New South Wales, Australia has an amazing number of pain management resources – for both patients and clinicians. Their website is https://aci.health.nsw.gov.au/ .

There are well over 500 documents, including sleep diaries, The Abbey Pain Scale for patients who can’t easily verbalize their pain due to dementia, and templates for patients to customize that can help prevent and/or manage pain flare ups.

If you are looking for new ideas for pain management, you’re sure to find some there. The Abbey Pain Scale tool is a one-page resource; pictured here.

Your kindness makes a difference every day,

Susan
